A 26 mile ride to St Albans for brunch, returning via the Alban Way with the option of a tea stop at the ice cream farm in Barnet. The snowdrops may have gone but there will be signs of spring on the way, and hopefully milder weather. The route is mainly on quiet roads with well surfaced off road sections suitable for all bikes.
Expect to be back at Barnet around 14:30 including the tea stop, otherwise 13:30.
This is an intermediate ride, suitable for those confident with hills and mixing with traffic. There may be some busy road sections.
Moderate pace 10 – 12mph.
Your bike should be in good working order – please check it before the ride, and bring tools and tubes in case of puncture. If you find you are unable to come, do cancel your place so another can join.
