BARNET CYCLISTS – part of London Cycling Campaign. A friendly group of leisure cyclists.
- If you want easy relaxed rides, or indoor meetings with a cycling theme, then check our Calendar and do visit us.
- Beginners are always very welcome.
- Come and try a ride or a meeting before you decide to join.
- Help our campaign for a better cycling borough.
We even have our own T-shirt logo which, loosely translated, means: “never knowingly pass an open café”. In a lighthearted way this says what an easy going sort of group we are.
Meet other cyclists
Each month we hold a friendly indoor meeting to discuss local cycling issues. We also look at specific aspects of cycling with a speaker, video or a practical demonstration on cycle maintenance. We can give you help and advice on bikes and cycling. Meetings are on the last Thursday of each month at 8pm in the Carey Hall of Trinity Church Centre, 15 Nether St. North Finchley N12 7NN, a short way down Nether Street from Tally Ho. For what to expect see our meetings.
Come for a ride
We run a programme of rides for the average cyclist who wants to enjoy the peace of the countryside, good food and a relaxed social atmosphere. All day rides are held on the third Sunday of every month – more in summer! You can ride in a group at an easy pace with a leader to show the way, and stop for lunch at a pub or café. And you can be sure you won’t be left behind. Usual start is from North Finchley at 10am. Evening rides too, in the summer.
For the current schedule please see our rides.
For all rides: Please bring a spare inner tube for a quick change in case you get a puncture.
Please note: Participants on Barnet Cyclists’ rides must be over 16 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Insurance is your responsibility. Barnet Cyclists cannot accept liability for you or your possessions. It is your responsibility to follow advice and the Highway Code at all times. Your participation is the acceptance of these terms.
Any questions about rides please contact Alison Ewington 01707 376282 email@example.com
We work on proposals affecting cyclists with Barnet Council and Transport for London. See our campaigning posts.
