Barnet Council are consulting on a couple of road safety schemes. See the links below to go to the Engage Barnet website to take part. Some thoughts on possible responses from the Campaign Group are shown below the links.
Note that the consultations close on Thursday 16 January.
Brunswick Park Road and Church Hill Road, road safety consultation | Engage Barnet
- Support the introduction of a 20-mph limit along the length of the road as proposed
- Say that the scheme should go further and introduce 20 mph in adjoining streets
- Suggest that continuous pavements should be used instead of uncontrolled crossings on adjoining side roads
Friern Barnet Lane road safety consultation | Engage Barnet
- Support the introduction of a 20-mph limit along in the area as proposed
- Say that the scheme should go further and introduce 20 mph in adjoining streets North of Hemlington Avenue
- Introduce 20 mph along Friern Barnet Lane and Friern Barnet Roads
- Ensure that cycle path at the start of Goldsmith Road has sufficient yellow lines to prevent parked cars blocking its exit
- Reinstate cycle lanes on Friern Barnet Lane that were removed about 20 years ago
