A1000 Cycle Lane engagement and consultation

There is an opportunity to attend workshops and focus groups about the future of the A1000 Cycle route. There will also be an opportunity to share views on transport across the borough and how the council will reach their transport goals for sustainability and the environment. They wish to involve residents, businesses, local community and interest groups, and partners.

After a round up of ‘business’ and a coffee break and time for a chat, Paul Shipway will lead the BCC in a discussion about our local group and its membership. What are our aims in growing the membership and what are we offering members. Do come along and join in.

Have you any special recommendations? Or want to ask others where they can recommend.  Do come along for a chat to mark the end of this season of meetings (we have been promised very nice biscuits…..).

East Finchley: ‘Sustainable High Rd’ planning meeting

What? Planning Meeting for the Town Team ‘Sustainable High Rd’ event

When? MONDAY 27th June 2022 7pm -8.30pm   

Where? Martin School Dining Hall, Plane Tree Walk, High Rd N2 9JP

We recently had a successful launch event attended by over 70 East Finchley traders and residents and we are now getting down to business and planning for our first event which will take place on the High Road on Saturday September 17th, 2022. This will focus on Sustainability, from big topics such as how we can sustain our High Road in the future but also practical information about which shops on the High Road provide refill service or a recycling point etc. On the day there will be stalls and activities.

PUBLIC REALM IMPROVEMENTS

Barnet Council, with the local community, are creating a strategy to improve public spaces in North Finchley Town Centre. The aim is to create a more sustainable, greener, integrated and inclusive place to live, work, visit and play.

There are opportunities to meet those involved in the planning to find out more.
