What? Planning Meeting for the Town Team ‘Sustainable High Rd’ event

When? MONDAY 27th June 2022 7pm -8.30pm

Where? Martin School Dining Hall, Plane Tree Walk, High Rd N2 9JP

We recently had a successful launch event attended by over 70 East Finchley traders and residents and we are now getting down to business and planning for our first event which will take place on the High Road on Saturday September 17th, 2022. This will focus on Sustainability, from big topics such as how we can sustain our High Road in the future but also practical information about which shops on the High Road provide refill service or a recycling point etc. On the day there will be stalls and activities.

If you cannot make this meeting but do want to be involved in September contact us on eftownteam@barnetcyclists

Thursday 30 June: Monthly Meeting- Local cycling groups

This month, after a quick catch up and a cup of coffee, we will have a round-up of all the opportunities for group cycling in the area. Members coming together under the ‘umbrella’ of Barnet Cyclists go on rides with a wide selection of groups. Find out what is out there – long rides, short rides, Sunday rides, weekday rides….  This would be a good meeting for people new to the group. Encourage anyone you know who might be interested to come along.

Note the date for the next meeting after this is Thursday 21 July. (Early than usual as the hall closes for the summer.)

Meet: 8pm, Trinity Church Centre, Nether Street, North Finchley N12.

All welcome.

Bike Week 2022 – want to find a cycling buddy?

Hello from Barnet Cycle Buddies.

To celebrate bike week we are holding get togethers on Tuesday 7th June from 6-7pm and again on Friday 10th June from 7-8pm.

Beginners to experienced cyclists all welcome.

Christ Church Hall, 622 High Road, North Finchley, N12 0NU.

The hall is at the rear of the church. Bike parking available. Bring a lock.

This is a great chance to meet in person and find out more about the scheme.

Please bring your bike and learn how to do a basic bike check and then ride on part of the A1000 cycle lane that runs outside the front door of the church, hopefully with a buddy!

If you have signed up as a buddy to mentor a cyclist, please try to come along to either or both evenings.

We hope to see you one evening!
