All welcome.

Monthly Meeting: Thursday 27 May 8pm

We will start with a brief round-up of what is happening locally and what is happening on the Campaign front.

Then, this month we have a visit from Toby Hopkins from the LCC office who is involved in the ‘Cycle Buddies’ scheme. This scheme connects people who want tips and guidance on urban cycling with more experienced cyclists. Some new, or returning, riders might need help with planning a safe route to work – or might need advice on improving their cycling technique. The LCC would like to have this scheme set up in Barnet so we need people to get involved. Come along and see what is involved and find out how you can help.

This meeting is open to members of the group and our local supporters only. If you attended any of the previous meetings there is no need to do anything and you will be sent the Zoom invite a few days before the meeting. If you wish to be added to the list, please send an email to alison.ewington@ntlworld.com.

Monthly Meeting: Thursday 29 April 8pm

We will start with a brief round-up of what is happening locally and what is happening on the Campaign front.

Then, this month group member, Alison Assiter, will present some ideas for local rides. Explore some of the parks and open spaces in Barnet that you might not think of joining up into a ride. These are the choice fruits of ‘lockdown’!

This meeting is open to members of the group and our local supporters only. If you attended any of the previous meetings there is no need to do anything and you will be sent the Zoom invite a few days before the meeting. If you wish to be added to the list, please send an email to alison.ewington@ntlworld.com.

Monthly Meeting: Thursday 25 March 8pm

We will start with a brief round-up of what is happening locally and what is happening on the Campaign front.

Then, this month group member, Paul Shipway, will talk about riding off road. He will cover basic equipment, and some of the routes we can do from Barnet and further afield.

This meeting is open to members of the group and our local supporters only. If you attended any of the previous meetings there is no need to do anything and you will be sent the Zoom invite a few days before the meeting. Monthly Meeting: Thursday 25 February 8pm

A special topic this month: “The Goldilocks Zone and how to stay there. Keeping warm and cool enough for cycling comfort.”

Our own Dr Helen Vecht will give us the lowdown on temperature control for comfortable cycling. Then we will have questions and answers – be prepared to join in. Got a favourite tip to pass on? Long Johns to wave at the camera? (Not wearing them please!).

This meeting is open to members of the group and our local supporters only. If you attended any of the previous meetings there is no need to do anything and you will be sent the Zoom invite a few days before the meeting. If you wish to be added to the list, please send an email to alison.ewington@ntlworld.com.

Monthly Meeting: Thursday 28 January 8pm

Our first meeting of this new year will be held online on Thursday 28th at 8pm. There are a few things to bring everyone up-to-date on – inevitably more discussion on the A1000 cycle route. In addition we hope to have the Borough co-ordinator for Brent, who is also an LCC Trustee, at the meeting.

This meeting is open to members of the group and our local supporters only. If you attended any of the previous meetings there is no need to do anything and you will be sent the Zoom invite in a few days time. If you wish to be added to the list, please send an email to alison.ewington@ntlworld.com.
