These events are not until August but some action is needed now if you are interested. It is a major closed-road event combining a free solo or family-style ride in central London and longer rides in and around Surrey. LCC is promoting the event which is part of a festival of cycling led by the Mayor of London’s office and sponsored by Prudential.
It is necessary to book to join the fund-raising Surrey rides of 100, 46 and 19 miles scheduled on Sunday 4th August and to register for the FreeCycle 8 mile central London ride on Saturday 3rd August.
For the Saturday ride participants may find their own way into London or join an LCC organised group from Barnet. Volunteers will participate as marshals and other volunteers are invited from Barnet Cyclists as we understand the LCC is still looking for more volunteer marshals for the Barnet-led Group.
