Start point: Potters Bar Railway Station. [Some riders will arrive by train. If you are cycling to the start point or coming on an earlier train, have a coffee at the Café Nero opposite the station’s main entrance, which allows you to keep an eye on the cycle parking area].
Ride Description: A ride that takes you to places connected with the downing of the German airships SL11 and L31 in 1916, at Cuffley and Potters Bar respectively. Lunch at The Plough at Cuffley. To give you a feel for the rigours of high altitude flight, this ride takes you over some of the highest points in eastern Hertfordshire, including Cuffley, Newgate Street and Essendon. You have been warned!
